This rigorous, independent assessment of our information security practices, policies, procedures, and operations in place validates our dedication and adherence to the SOC 2 standards for security.

What is SOC 2

The SOC 2, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is an extensive auditing procedure that ensures that the company has security controls in place to detect, prevent and respond to any security threats. SOC 2 is designed for service providers like Axya which uses the cloud to store customer data.

Why SOC2

Axya deals with some of the biggest enterprise manufacturers in the world from aerospace, automotive, mining etc. To name a few Kongsberg automotive, Kesmac, GE and hundreds of other manufacturing companies digitizing their procurement. Securing data for these customers and giving them peace of mind is essential and the SOC2 certification assures the highest level of data security for all of Axya’s clients.

The Process

Axya continuously monitors its security posture and has real-time visibility over different aspects of the infrastructure like employee training, penetration tests, secure software development, data encryption using state of the art monitoring systems. Not only do we have layers of security implemented on the server, application level but we use Drata to continuously monitor all dimensions and domains of the platform.

An external audit was conducted as a part of the program on Axya’s entire infrastructure for which affirmed that Axya has controls and measures in place to regularly assess and validate the effectiveness of the security practices ensuring the highest level of data security.

Final Word

This is an important milestone however this is not the end of our commitment towards validating and improving our security infrastructure so as to secure our customer data. We are on our way to achieve our SOC 2 Type 2 as the immediate next step. .
