Since 2008, Mezzo has been completely committed to all issues related to microtube heat exchangers. Mezzo has developed methods to efficiently manufacture tube heat exchangers with tens of thousands of microtubes.


Mezzo radiators are the most widely distributed Mezzo product. Mezzo was an approved supplier of radiators for the Indy Racing League (IRL) in 2010 and 2011. Mezzo's foothold in high performance racing is growing, with customers in LeMans, F1, etc. Mezzo's performance advantage is gained through excellent heat transfer and very low air pressure drop (for a given air face velocity). 


Mezzo won the 2010 Louis Schwitzer Award for Engineering Innovative Excellence in the Indy Racing League. 


Mezzo designed, fabricated, and tested a high performance microtube recuperator with an extremely high effectiveness (exceeding 99.7%) and low pressure drop for an Inverse Brayton Cryocooler. The mass was one-half the value of the incumbent technology, and the volume was one-third. That product More... was developed with Missile Defense Agency SBIR funding.


 Mezzo's charge air-liquid intercoolers (coupled with a Mezzo radiator for the intercooler) provide performance unmatched by air-to-air intercoolers in terms of heat transfer, charge air pressure drop, and ambient air required to produce a given charge air temperature. 


 Mezzo has developed extremely compact, high performing oil-liquid and oil-air heat exchangers.


 Mezzo's microtube Phase Change Material (PCM) heat exchangers provide excellent overall performance in terms of extremely high rates of energy storage and depletion, high PCM volume fraction, and good behavior in terms of mechanical stress issues related to melting/freezing cycles. 


 Microtube shell-and-tube heat exchangers offer significant reductions in weight, volume, and often, price. Mezzo has the expertise to design and manufacture shell-and-tube heat exchangers that exchange heat between gases, liquids, refrigerants, etc. over a wide range of sizes (from hundreds of watts to many megawatts).


 Mezzo has fabricated condensers, evaporators and economizers that provide excellent performance in terms of volume and weight savings, air pressure drop reduction, and in some cases price reduction.
