Axis Laser is a full service CNC laser based metal fabricating facility. We specialize in providing high quality tight tolerance metal fabrication, certified welding and precision machining to a broad spectrum of industries including; aircraft, architectural/construction, art work, environmental, medical, pharmaceutical, trade show, transportation, and semi conductor to name a few. Founded in 1991 Axis Laser boasts a solid client roster of repeat customers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to one off prototype shops.  Axis Laser accepts data in many formats including drawings and sketches, DXF, DWG and templates. We also work from data supplied to generate CAD/CAM designs.


 Large Capacity:


 The 10ft. x 5ft. cutting bed of the Prima Platino 1530, which is larger than most CNC laser cutting systems, allows us to use larger sheet sizes and when combined with automated nesting means material costs are reduced for our customers. The over sized cutting bed also allows us to supply larger laser cut profiles than most other laser cutting companies, useful for architectural and retail applications.

 One of the primary features of the Platino CNC laser cutter is its speed. Equipped with flying optics moving at speeds of up to 5,500/min, with no manual adjustments required between material changes we are ideally suited to carry out high volume production.

 Photo etching versatility allows the fabrication of parts as small as .020" diameter or up to 24"x60". The process is effective for an extensive array of metal alloys, including stainless, carbon and silicon steels, nickel, nickel-iron and nickel-iron-cobalt alloys, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum, molybdenum, and silver. Material thickness ranges from .001" to .040" in ferrous, .065" in copper and up to .080" in aluminum.


 Photo etching is also the go-to process for fabricating power electronic devices on direct bond copper on ceramic substrates. Medical, industrial and veterinary MRI equipment utilize photo etching to produce copper field and litz magnetic coils. PEM fuel cells in a range of architectures rely on photo etching for stack and cell elements. The range of applications in RF, microwave, and wireless technologies is nearly endless and changing daily. Even comparatively pedestrian industrial applications for shims, gaskets, spacers, retainers, and shields find economical precision solutions in photochemical etching.


 Both chemical etching and electroforming are finding growing applications as technologies are demanding greater power and performance in smaller and smaller packages. The level of complexity and detail that can be achieved with photochemical manufacturing is unmatched by more conventional fabricating processes.
