IMF is family owned and operated with 3 generations of experience spanning 50 years plus. As a full line fabricator and machine shop, our versatility allows us to offer a wide range of solutions to our customers.


As part of our continuous improvement process, we have maintained our ISO 9001 certification since 2005. We have also been awarded numerous quality and delivery certifications from our customers; designations which aren't given lightly and which speak to our driving goal to provide outstanding service.


Industrial Metal Fab, full service machine shop and custom metal fabricating, handles steel plate and heavy plate fabrication.


We are headquartered on the far west side of South Bend on sample street, the main truck route to and from the city. Our fabrication facility includes a 25,000 square foot manufacturing area with three 40' high bays with overhead cranes. Our Machine shop is 5,000 square feet with 20' high bays. We also have a 5,000 square foot material warehouse with extensive More... inventory of mild steel, A36, HSLA, alloy Q&T and abrasion resistant plate.


 Although we are always on the lookout for new opportunities, our equipment, expertise and handling capabilities are particularly suited to medium and heavy plate fabricating and related CNC machining.
