Now, when it comes to measuring fracture toughness of ceramics, we are quite skilled in chevron notching of test specimens. We use an optical comparator to measure the intricate grooves or chevron notches in the ceramic material bars. Our procedures of machining adhere to ASTM C 1421 standards.
