Pittsburgh Foundry and Machine Company began in 1901 with William A. Smith, a hardworking 20 year-old who had a vision to build a business that would support many families and be a part of the time-honored foundry tradition in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA--where over 100 working foundries powered the engines of the steel industry. Today there are far fewer foundries, but Pittsburgh Foundry and Machine Company still serves many industries. A fourth generation and employees who have become family dedicate themselves to Smith's same vision--producing high quality castings backed by excellent customer service. And we still serve our customers from the same Lawrenceville neighborhood. West Salisbury Foundry has joined our family as well, giving you access to their tremendous talent, expertise, and 138 additional years of high quality casting manufacturing.
