Tekra has three strategic partners that are the leaders in their industry and supply Tekra with high quality products to best supply for our customers. These strategic partners are: 3M Tekra is a Master converter and distributor More... of 3M Adhesives; DuPont Teijin Films supplies Tekra with the finest brands of polyester films including Melinex, Mylar, etc.; SABIC Innovative Plastics supplies the LEXAN brand of polycarbonate films. Tekra also has decades of experience in converting plastic films and adhesives. Our converting capabilities include: slitting materials with the tightest of tolerances down to 1" wide rolls, sheeting rolls of film down to custom sizes to fit the customer's specific needs, and laminating to one or both sides of a substrate.


 Tekra manufactures various branded coated films including our Marnot, Marnot Advanced, and ProTek lines of functional hardcoats on polyester and polycarbonate films, enhance the film characteristics by increasing the scratch, abrasion, and chemical resistance of the film. Our coatings can also change the appearance and/or feel of the film for touch applications. Tekra's hardcoated films are used in a variety of markets such as appliance, nameplate, membrane touch switch, and flexible electronics.


 Tekra applies various print receptive coatings that allow various digital print platforms to have superior ink adhesion to films such as polyester, polycarbonate, rigid vinyl, label stocks, and more. Our Dura-Go films are designed and optimized for HP Indigo digital presses. Our JetView films are optimized for inkjet presses including UV, Solvent, and Latex inkjet. Lastly, our ToneKote line of films are coated and optimized for toner based presses such as Xerox Igens, Kodak Nexpress, and Canon.


 Tekra is equipped with two coating lines along with a team of chemists and engineers to create custom coatings to fit specific customer needs. Our R&D team can develop custom coatings on our lab coater quickly and at a low cost. Tekra has gravure, reverse gravure, and slot die coating capabilities with both thermal and UV curing methods that allows us to apply a wide range of coatings.
