In business since 1957, M&S Centerless Grinding, Inc. is one of the top precision grinding job shops in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving over 300 active customers across all industries. Family owned and operated, we're small enough to ensure quality by treating every customer's job as if it is our most critical, but with (17) grinders we are large enough to handle most medium sized production runs (volumes into the ten thousands) cost effectively and efficiently.


Though our name says centerless grinding, this is not all that we do. We have equipment to do all forms of cylindrical grinding, both OD and ID. With a mix of CNC, automatic, and manual equipment we can handle different types of work, from single diameter shafts and bars to complex OD and ID forms. Whether your job is short-run (1 or 2 pcs.) or long-run (several thousand pcs.), we have the capability to grind it.


Different materials require specific abrasives to work with them effectively. We More... have extensive knowledge of abrasives, utilizing over 15 different types of abrasives, enabling us to efficiently work with all types of steel, tool steel, and stainless steel, as well as materials such as plastics, glass, ceramics, titanium, aluminum, manganese steel, powdered metals, platings (chrome, nickel, etc.) and exotic alloys, (i.e.: inconel, hastelloy, refractalloy, waspalloy, etc.).


 Our unique mix of equipment and the way in which we use our equipment often allows us to tackle multiple operation grinding jobs more efficiently than other shops. This coupled with our extensive knowledge of materials and abrasives, has enabled us to grind many parts that others said could not be ground. In fact we're finding that our workload is growing fastest in this area of "Difficult to Grind" work.
