Like a lighthouse, Moore-Addison exists quietly as part of the landscape of the machining community, hardly noticed until needed. The company machines and fabricates non-metallics/laminates/plastics, and has been doing so in expert fashion since its inception in 1953. It is our desire to serve as many customers as come to us by offering high-quality parts delivered in a timely fashion for the best price possible. 


More specifically, the company has prospered under three generations of leadership performing basic two-axis lathe turning and general machining. Materials are purchased in volume from domestic distributors to control price and maintain certifiable quality in its manufacture. Machinists, foreman and machine operators (all long-term employees) work together to produce a solid, certifiable product. All of this is done in our own 15,000 square foot production facility.

Grind Lap offers multiple precision grinding, lapping, and honing services as well as consultative design and process expertise under one roof to help you deliver for your customers. This allows you to save time and money, eliminating the costs and delays associated with multiple vendors and shipments.


Blanchard rotary grinding up to 42" diagonal. We grind almost any type of material including aluminum and stainless steel. We hold tighter tolerances and finishes than our competitors with tolerances as close as .0005" and finishes to 8 Ra.


Centerless grinding with thru-feed lengths up to 12 feet long and in-feed ground lengths to nine inches. Tolerances to .0002 and surface finish to 10 Ra. We can work with many materials such as CRS, stainless, brass and aluminum.


Double disc grinding is available for high production of medium to small size parts and longer flat bars.


Hard turning removes More... excess material from the inside or outside diameter of your parts quickly and efficiently while holding extremely tight tolerances for concentricity.


 Honing is implemented using our horizontal and vertical Sunnen Hones with tooling from .100 to over 5" in stock. Our Indi-Ron roundness checker can verify round parts within millionths. Air gaging allows us to insure the closest tolerances.


 I.D. grinding up to 12" in diameter. We have a variety of CNC grinders that can grind multiple I.D., O.D. and faces in the same chucking. We also have several Heald grinders for small and larger bores.


 Lapping for both single and double sided. We hold tolerances as close as .0001, flatness within one light band (0.0000116") and part sizes up to 24" in diameter. We have experience lapping a variety of materials including ceramics, plastics and sprayed coatings.


 O.D. grinding up to 40" between centers up to 12" diameters. We offer various chucking/collet capabilities. We have a variety of CNC O.D. grinders to handle different types of jobs. We can accommodate short runs to larger runs that require in-process gaging.
