Tri-Star Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer of threaded inserts for plastics and high-volume precision machined products. We offer a full line of brass inserts for all methods of installation, including ultrasonic, heat, thermal, press-in and mold-in. We stock large inventories of the most popular styles of brass inserts, symmetrical inserts and studs. Most orders for stock items are shipped the same day. 


Our threaded inserts start at 0-80 for inch threads and M1.6 for metric threads. Although our standard line is brass, we also stock stainless steel inserts in many styles and sizes. In addition, we have the expertise to custom design and produce threaded inserts for a variety of applications, with a low minimum order quantity required. Other services include insert testing, as well as assistance with technical and installation questions. 


Tri-Star Industries_x0092_ H Series tapered threaded inserts for plastics outperform all competitive ones for ultrasonic and thermal installation into thermoplastic More... or structural foam. Our proprietary _x0093_knuckle knurl_x0094_ ensures a more uniform flow of material into the diagonal knurls and undercuts, resulting in a complete fill, reducing installation time and increasing holding strengths. 


 Designed for straight holes in brittle plastics, our C Series chevron threaded inserts add considerable strength. A lead-in pilot diameter assures true perpendicular alignment, and little or no stress is applied to the walls of the molded holes. The C Series are our most popular brass inserts, offering the most overall length choices.


 S Series symmetrical threaded inserts can be quickly installed either end first, using ultrasonic or thermal equipment. By decreasing outward hoop stress these inserts decrease cycle times and lower costs.


 We produce two types of threaded studs for plastics: the SH, modeled after our H Series inserts, and the SC Series, modeled after our C Series inserts. Threaded studs are commonly used to fulfill specific design functions; to function as electrical contacts; to replace self-tapping or removable screws; or to lower production costs. 


 Another phase of Tri-Star Industries_x0092_ business is the production of precision machined parts. Our Davenport machine capabilities range from thread rolling, thread cutting, slotting and knurling to tapping, reaming, countersinking, counterboring and more.

Sirois Tool Co., Inc. was established in 1960 as a manufacturer of precision tooling. Since then we have expanded into the manufacturing of precision gauges and low-volume, complex machine parts and assemblies.


We were originally located on Pane Road in Newington, CT but we moved to Berlin, CT in 1999. Our new facility, which we designed and built, is 20,000 square feet and is located in the Riverbend Industrial Park.
