Description

Web Seal is a privately held corporation with a five-decade track record of partnering with customers to ensure their success. Integrity, flexibility, innovation, competence and compassion are values that have distinguished the company since its beginnings. Web Seal has historically been well known for staff who work closely with engineering, R&D, and purchasing professionals to develop the optimal sealing solution for customers' unique applications. Established in 1960 by Donald L. Hurley in Upstate New York to serve the burgeoning manufacturing base in the area at the time, including Xerox, Eastman Kodak, Ingersoll-Rand and Bausch & Lomb, Web Seal has become a global supplier of sealing solutions for OEMs and other businesses. Half a century ago, Web Seal_x0092_s customers were primarily interested in making sure that air, oil and other liquids did not leak into, or out of, their products, or were not contaminated by dust and other particulates. With today_x0092_s breathtaking array of new materials, More... products and usages, Web Seal provides custom seals for applications that run the gamut from the routine to the most extreme in temperature, pressure and hazardous environments, and from preservation of 18th-century archival materials to 21st-century photonics. Web Seal provides rapid turnaround on prototypes, low- to high-volume production runs, design and technical assistance, product training, supplier-managed Kanban-style inventory programs, assemblies, and a variety of services tailored to customer needs. Gaskets and other custom-designed shapes are fabricated from a nearly unlimited selection of materials, from traditional elastomers, corks, foams and textiles to high-tech composites, EMI/RFI shielding, thermal management and other advanced manufacturing materials. A wide range of pressure-sensitive adhesives are available as well. As a full-service provider of engineered sealing solutions, Web Seal also distributes thousands of standard, metric and custom products such as O-rings, lip seals, mechanical seals, oil seals and liquid sealants. Under the second-generation leadership of son John F. Hurley, this SBA-certified Small Business Enterprise has been ISO 9001-certified since 2001, with a fully integrated contract management ERP system, and uses lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to create efficient job shop planning and superior customer service.
