Description

Central Machine & Marine Inc. (CMM) is a large-scale machine and fabrication shop founded in 1973. Located in Sarnia, Ontario, we are strategically situated at the center of the Great Lakes Waterway system with access to servicing the marine industry. In nearly 50 years, CMM has steadily grown into a large-scale 70,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility capable of handling projects up to 60 tons. Industries we service include petro-chemical, power generation, the Great Lakes marine shipping fleet, mining and forestry, and food and agriculture. Our end products can be found on projects throughout North America. At CMM, we are known for saving our customers on project time and costs, employing 55 to 65 regular full-time workers across a two-shift, 18-hour, daily operation to meet the tightest of deadlines. Safety We prioritize the health and safety of our employees and customers by following a strict quality program. These quality protocols and procedures allow us to take care of all your welding and manufacturing needs from registration to completion. Our customers can trust that we are providing a superior product or service that is in compliance with all their specifications and requirements, completed under rigid health and safety protocols for the safety of our team and customers alike. Quality Our skilled technical engineers and experts can safely and effectively do alterations or repairs of fittings, pressure vessels and piping in the field. We have a Quality Management Program Certificate that is assessed and registered by Intertek in ISO 9001-2015. Our quality program continues to evolve to keep up with our industry’s stringent demands. As a result, we have also gained certification under the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section VIII, Div. 1, B31.1 and B31.3 for carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steels. Our registered quality control programs also include the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) NB-23, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) B51 and now the Certified Welding Bureau (CWB) to CSA Standard W47.1 in Division 2.
