Founded in 1941, Wiegel offers comprehensive product design, product development and fully-automated product manufacturing. Our production capabilities include progressive die high-speed, heavy and transfer stamping and forming of parts, pre- and post-production product finishing and applications, robotic joining and assembly of parts, 2-D and 3-D camera detection and inspection, automated product cleaning, product packaging and product laser marking. We build all of our stamping production tooling in-house and offer rapid prototyping services as well as support for tool and product design. We are a team of over 230 employees, operating on 207,000-sq-ft of manufacturing space at 4 locations in Illinois. Wiegel More... supports multi-million-piece, high-volume manufacturing of precision metal stamped components, custom product assemblies and custom-developed battery products with various materials, features, tight tolerances and unique geometries. Products Wiegel manufactures include precision metal-stamped terminal connectors, contacts, busbars, lead frames, shields, brackets, wire and cable connectors and battery components such as anode and cathode collectors, current collector assemblies, battery cell components, battery packs and battery module components, among other custom-engineered manufacturing stampings and assemblies. We work with manufacturers in a variety of industries including but not limited to automotive, electric vehicle, electrical, electronics, lighting, medical, military and defense, structural building components, solar and telecom. Wiegel is known for investing in customized manufacturing equipment, processes and assembly-line robotics, while implementing sophisticated quality controls to meet new and evolving industry product developments.
